The universe is looking for volunteers.
The world is changing. We see the signs and symptoms all around us. For some, the instinct is to hold on to the sense of safety found in what is already known, and hope things somehow get back to “normal.”
The proposition explored in Part Two of Becoming Human in These Threshold Times event, with Aviv Shahar and David Price Francis, is that we can choose to lean into the future. We can attune ourselves to what is now becoming possible and respond as pathfinders and first responders to the call of this moment.
On Portals, we have traced this transition from an epoch that is ending to a new epoch being born. The implication is that the shifts we observe in the people around us, in our communities and countries, and throughout the world are not solely of human making. They may also be evidence of grander processes unfolding within the planet and the universe.
These shifts are occurring just as dramatically within our interior lives. Our response to what is happening matters. Through our conscious participation, we can contribute to the greater transition now underway.
What might become possible if we elect into the future and enter the unknown, transitional space?
Aviv guides us through a thought experiment encompassing eight domains of consideration and research. Each can expand our perspective and open us to new possibilities. Each may offer a foundational stone for the cathedral of the future, helping to prepare the way forward.
The process invites us to explore what it means to be in function as a human being, and to expand our awareness, consciousness, and sensitivity so we may encompass and activate more of what is inherent in the human design.
The event concludes with participants offering thoughts, insights, and expressions of wisdom as messages sent into the world, carrying a call to all who may feel moved to become volunteers.

- The human is unfinished. What is now shifting within the “human project”?
- What evolutionary permissions are opening at this time to enable this updating?
- How is the landscape of knowledge evolving as external and internal technologies come online?
- What new forms of mutuality, participation, and shared becoming are emerging?
- What new forms of care, conscience, and responsibility are being called forth at this time?
