Our Souls Are Connected – Portals Into the Soul Event, Part 3

Aviv Shahar and friends

In Part 2 of this Portals Into the Soul event, Aviv Shahar shared the image of birds in murmuration, where vast flocks move together as though they are a single living organism. How do they do this? And what might it reveal about our own latent capacities for connective community and shared intelligence?

To enter into true collective engagement, we must expand our sensitivities beyond the five senses and into the energetic field in which we live and participate. With the support of the IHOW team (Internal Human Orchestra Work), Aviv guides participants through an experiential somatic exploration of the Soul through its three primary postures: home base, near aura field, and greater domains of care.

Through this process, we begin to sense how the Soul naturally expands and contracts depending on whether we feel threatened or safe. Home base is the Soul’s fallback position, centered near the base of the spine when we are in survival mode, whether in response to genuine danger or simply the pressures and stress of everyday life.

When safety and grounding are restored, the Soul can expand into its second posture: the full aura field, the energetic space extending outward from the body several feet into the surrounding environment. In this state, the Soul provides a more continuous feedback process, helping us sense both our inner condition and the environment we are moving within.

The third posture, domains of care, reveals that the Soul can extend far beyond the immediate body into any area to which we give sustained attention, devotion, and care: raising children, tending a garden, supporting others, or serving a greater purpose. Through this extending arc, whether near or far, new forms of sensitivity, intelligence, and energetic relationship begin to emerge within the field of participation itself.

Some insights explored in this session:

  • The somatic experience of the Soul is often more immediately accessible than abstract theories about it
  • The Soul has the capacity to expand into the domains of our care and devotion
  • Human beings can form profound connections through the warmth and reciprocity of Soul exchange
  • The Soul seeks our well-being and remains a deeply loyal companion throughout life

How might we support, how might we fortify, one another as we each navigate the Soul's unfolding journey through this time of epochal shift? Certain aspects of this journey are alone decisive - a person cannot be forced into it. It's a journey that we self-elect into. Once we do, in this day and age it's very difficult to conceive of anyone being able to do this journey completely on their own. My question is, how might we be able to support and fortify each other?
