Against a backdrop of global instability, escalating conflicts, and the accelerating emergence of the AI revolution, the many dimensions of this epochal moment continue to intensify. In response, Aviv Shahar convened a group of fifteen Portals friends on short notice, inviting them to sense into what is arising within at this critical juncture in human history, where change and transformation are unfolding both in the world and within the human interior.

This intimate gathering centered on a fundamental inquiry: what is being asked of us now? Put differently, what inner work feels most essential, grounding, and sustaining? What is asking to be called forth, deepened, and lived as a touchstone for a spiritual life at a time when external reality feels increasingly unstable and the path ahead remains unclear?

Aviv offers a simple orientation:
“The question is, if we are to preserve our humanity, if we are to rediscover the significance of being human, where does it begin? I would suggest it begins with the interior work each of us chooses to engage.”

What followed was a series of responses that were heartfelt, grounded, practical, and potentized by the innate understanding that we each have a choice in how we face, and co-create, our future.

Some of the insights that emerged:

• Discovering ways to deepen, or reawaken, what we truly believe and trust in.
• Establishing practices that return us to a sense of settlement when disconnection arises.
• Honoring one’s own path and the uniqueness it carries.
• Centering oneself in the moment-to-moment and asking: what does life need of me?
