How do we balance living in the world today with discovering our purpose within a greater purpose? And what catalytic element might allow humanity to break through the relentless intensification we are experiencing, opening the way to the next phase of evolution?
In this conversation, Aviv Shahar and Jeff Vander Clute deepen their exploration by decoding the currency of our time. They reflect on the value of long-term projects, both for individuals and collectives, and on the challenge of looking back along a timeline while also seeking release into a new future.
Aviv shares aspects of his own journey as resembling two strands of a helix: one looking back with value and endearment, the other releasing him from the past. This dynamic has opened the permission and possibility of a fresh future, unencumbered. Through this process he reveals an inner struggle and a persistent drive to integrate seemingly disparate parts of his life into a cohesive and purposeful whole. This intuitive search has led him through the stepping stones of the Epoch Culmination gathering of friends, its subsequent expression in the Portals project, and the emergence of the Universalis perception.
The individual journeys and long-term projects of both men illuminate the unconscious “stop situations” that can block progress until they are faced. The perspective of the “sixteen vortices” sheds light on how philosophy, science, and religion have gradually separated from their originating impulse, leading to forms of institutional exhaustion and stagnation.
Will these traditions rediscover alignment with the search for truth that originally inspired them? And perhaps most importantly, will they reconnect with the currency of what is pressing now? Will we?
Highlights from this conversation:
- We're living in an evolutionary crucible moment and there is a powerful nature to this current time.
- As we seek to evolve forward, it is important to trace the journey we have been on with our current wisdom.
- Philosophy, science, and religion have, for the most part, lost the connection to their original essence source. It is critical to reconnect.
- It may only take a 10% lift in human consciousness to effect huge transformations for the good.
This conversation is part of the continuing Portals discovery into what is emerging on the frontiers of human experience in this time of profound change. Information about upcoming special events can be found on the Events page. Also visit and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
So, the problem is, when we become more involved in the structures and less focused on cultivating the essence connection, then things do break down. And partly it's because essence cannot be contained and is ever flowing, ever evolving, ever flowering, always new.
