At Portals we seek to offer great content to inquiring minds, and we also want to nourish and grow a thriving community by creating an ecology of practice for engagement and exchange. Your membership supports that potential.

Throughout history, the great questions have been asked, and great research has been undertaken, always expanding the territory of the known by shining a light into the unknown. Where is that cutting edge today? And can a community of people from all over the world, each carrying their own unique journey of discovery, come together to inquire at the edge of purposeful evolution, through dialogue and interaction? We think it is possible, and we hope that you will choose to be a part of this exploration.

Many people think about their dreams as a highly personal, intimate window into the workings of their own inner world and unconscious mind. The sometimes beautiful, always mysterious imagery can look very familiar, like our mind is sorting through and trying to make sense of the experiences and incoming data from our day.

What if our mental capacity to receive, interpret, and transfer information, especially in the unconscious, isn’t personal, but transpersonal? Such as perceptions and awareness that extend beyond any individual boundaries to span a much bigger space. It’s how we can perceive the collective experience of humanity and the planet, and even new intelligence pressing in from an evolving universe.

With our unconscious mind as an access point to limitless consciousness, the imagery and symbolism in our dreams become a new visual language of meaningful insights, understanding, and unfolding transformation.

In this conversation, teacher, consultant, and leadership coach Grace Boda joins Aviv Shahar for a deeper look at the remarkable nature of the unconscious mind and the experience of lucid dreaming. Among their insights and understanding:

  • A deeper understanding of the unconscious helps break down the perceived distinctions between human and the spiritual, and we can fluidly move our awareness to various perspectives.

  • The evolution of technology and the idea of a network and the cloud simply is a translation of a human capacity manifested in a course of technology.

  • The brain has a function of cleansing the mind as we sleep of experiences and energetic residues from the day that do not belong to us.

  • My locus of awareness shifts and becomes more immobile as I’m less identified with this body, this ego, this being. It becomes more fluid.

  • When we bring that awareness to our consciousness, we spiritualize the universe, not as a concept, but in actuality. We bring that awareness into the space we occupy.

  • We can open awareness at higher dimensions and greater levels that are far beyond even the human, but can encompass the bigger movement of consciousness through all types of form.

  • The unconscious is seeking to draw the attention of the conscious, otherwise it would have no access to us. It uses the archetypal, symbolic content or fields of references we have.

  • Life is not just this physical substance that ends when you die; there are other energetic dimensions that you develop through your life that outlive the physical body.

  • We have a bias to see things more as a continuity, where today is a continuation of yesterday, because we are oriented for good reasons to the carnal world.

  • When you face an experience that triggers the permission for change, and you change one element, it carries the invitation to update everything else around it; if you change one brick in the wall, the entire wall needs to be rebuilt.

  • Humans are gaining the capacity to be a collective being, a single being, which is requiring the inclusion and transcendence of many polarities.

  • There is an upgrade or evolutionary change that occurs when our system is not trying to replenish or rebalance or repair, but is permeated with new influence and new intelligence.

This conversation is part of the continuing Portals discovery into what is emerging on the frontiers of human experience in this time of profound change. Information about upcoming special events can be found on the Events page. Also visit and subscribe to our YouTube channel.

I'm also watching more in the subtle realms as I open my awareness there because the image shifts and more is being revealed. As I watch it, a particular meaning that I'm making of it now is that yes, there is a change afoot, something is happening that is a transformation. I'm viewing it as an upgrade, but a transformation is underway.
