Our next big step forward in the exploration of the human soul reveals the path not just to our personal growth and elevation, but also the potential to transform the larger ecology and meta-crises sweeping the world, and our local and global communities.

This conversation combines two new segments of a recent Portals event that introduced us to the language of the soul. In “Part b, Soul Qualities,” Aviv Shahar and a global group of Portals friends demonstrate simple exercises to improve our sensitivity and discover our own unique soul qualities, which can release deep healing and wellbeing.

In “Part c, The Meta-Crisis,” we see how external elements of ecological and cultural crises have a corresponding inner soul inquiry that helps reveal new understanding and possible solutions. For example, the global depletion of energy and natural resources, and even climate change, have parallels inside human behavior.

Our soul discovery is a practical way to apply Einstein’s wisdom that solutions to problems cannot be found with the same mindset that created them. More fully expressing natural soul qualities — such as care, courage and resiliency — creates a new inner cosmology of intelligence and creativity; a new platform for seeing and addressing the meta-crises. Einstein would be pleased.

Other insights from the Portals event:

• We're using our forensic capacity to discover the unique cosmology that each of us are, so there is a way to invite the soul to its fuller liberation and expansion.
• We can begin to sense our soul qualities through the mental, sensory and spiritual portals to feel what is most prime in how we are naturally configured and wired.
• More important to the universe is that each one of us is a once-in-history opportunity to experience life, experience itself through our unique composition.
• The soul is whole and undamaged. Its qualities may not get a chance to fully express, but they're always a latent potency in our nature, and given the circumstance, will fully bloom.
• As we integrate the soul dimension into the meaning crisis, we give our inner lives the purpose, reason and connection to regenerate the remedial power that can address the meta crisis and more.
