To a Portals of Perception Virtual Event on Saturday, September 16th, 12:00noon - 1:30pm EDT
There is so much to unpack in the Current Openings' conversations between Aviv Shahar and David Price Francis that we, at Portals, are always looking for ways to deepen our engagement with the ideas, the perceptions, and the practices that are revealed in these dialogues. The concepts are amazing, yet we want to take it from ideas to a place of knowing and conscious application - enabling an inner shift to a more natural state of being.
The Open Circle is an ongoing gathering, hosted by members of the Portals community; these are relaxed, participative kitchen-table conversations that enable us to open and dive into specific aspects from the Current Openings journey. The Open Circle will provide a space to exchange and experience how these concepts relate to us, in our lives.
The Open Circle:
Saturday September 16th, 12pm EDT: Becoming What We Think About - Why Should We Care?
We’ve heard this bit of wisdom most of our lives: you become what you think about. And it’s backed up by impressive neuroscience on the brain and mind capacity to be programmed, printed and rewired.
It also means the quality of our mental diet is critical. Are we inputting “junk food” - exciting, titillating, but also maybe toxic and detrimental to our mental health and overall life balance? Think: reality TV, horror movies, violent video games, and social media. Or do we seek out knowledge with high energetic value that actually inspires us and supports what we want to become?
On Sept. 16, we take a deeper look at why the quality of the impressions we feed our brain is so vital to our wellbeing - our moods, our stress levels, and even what we attract into our lives. We’ll also look at different types of knowledge and at more natural ways to source for ourselves a high quality mental diet. This conversation is drawn from Current Openings #7: The Knowledge Problem.
Save the date! This event is Free and open to all. We will keep you informed as the details evolve. As always, we are grateful for your interest and support and thank you for being a part of the Portals community.
Come join the discovery.
