stages in life

As we grow older, we may want to change or escape the big patterns of behavior and thought we’ve built up over years. It’s a challenge, because we are truly creatures of habit; the patterns shape how we see the world. They tend to guide, consciously and even more unconsciously, the choreography of the events that we create in our lives. So how do we change the script mid-flight?

The discovery is to create and let yourself choose between multiple options, rather than try to generate extraordinary willpower to change in the absence of options. It's a completely different inner topography and process.

Join us for the second part of this conversation.

There is a deeper, more profound nature in life that wants to reveal itself, but can’t if we believe we know ourselves 100%. By design, by nature, by evolutionary biology, we have this mechanism of a new second wave of youthfulness, or awakening, or quickening that shows up at a certain age or phase of life. Its purpose is to release us from a premature fixing of thinking we know ourselves.

Daphne Neveras-Lupfer

I recently retired from a successful and fulfilling Information Technology career growing and supporting a Fortune 100 company.  A critical goal, shaping the entirety of my professional career was effective life balance between family and work.

I started exploring religion and developing my search for truth and meaning during my teen years when I first attended Catholic Mass. My inquiries have since taken two pivotal turns: when a former colleague introduced me to the Unity movement and when I discovered the writings of Thich Nhat Hanh and the precepts of Buddhism.
