We’re in a conversation with Mark Horoszowski, Co-founder and CEO of MovingWorlds, about the personal and professional journey of building a global enterprise that is creating meaningful change on the road to a more sustainable and equitable planet.
MovingWorlds is a global platform that brings together the stakeholder groups of professionals, corporations, and investors with the skills, inspiration and common purpose to make a difference in real systemic change.
Mark describes the evolution of the objectives and premise that lead to what the enterprise does today: show stakeholders there is a way to create profitable businesses that are world positive and address environmental and social issues. In a time of accelerating change, when assumptions about the nature of
democracy are being challenged, Mark explores the mechanisms needed - from the ground up - to build an economy that is truly sustainable and equitable.
Along the way, Mark gives a glimpse of some of the creative and amazing ideas emerging around the globe that his team supports, and that offer hope for a brighter future.
I think our mission was to come out and address a systemic problem in capitalism, which is that the most powerful institutions in the world are driven by profit margins. And if we want to create a sustainable and equitable planet, we need to create a sustainable and equitable economy. And, in order to do that, there are a lot of things that need to happen. But one of the critical things absolutely is that businesses each measure and account for their social and environmental factors.
