Throughout history, the great questions have been asked, and great research has been undertaken, always expanding the territory of the known by shining a light into the unknown. Where is that cutting edge today? And can a community of people from all over the world, each carrying their own unique journey of discovery, come together to inquire at the edge of purposeful evolution, through dialogue and interaction? We think it is possible, and we hope that you will choose to be a part of this exploration.

another flood?

As we explore the nature of humanity as a collective body with a unified consciousness, we are discovering more about the practices and attitudes that help each one of us remain open and receptive to this emerging intelligence.

A key feature in the feeling of an integrated collective consciousness is an ability to move beyond our tendency to identify with the ideologies and institutions that see the individual as separated from the greater whole. Politics, careers, families, and education encourage a narrow identity that can limit our perception of a higher universal possibility.

There are practices and practical steps we can take to resist the influences that narrow our sense of self and to remain open and inviting to the updrafts of an expanding universe.

Practices such as listening with presence, where the listener connects to the source, the inspiration, moving the speaker; accepting full responsibility for our lives by refusing excuses, alibis and blame; finding the stillness and neutrality that defuse conflict and disagreement.

Being open, resisting a narrowing identity, and connecting with a higher universal purpose enable the appearance of Homo Universalis, a human who can live a universal life in the world and help shape the future today.

So resistance, instead of triggering you, compels you to a point of stillness. And, inside the stillness, there is that arising impulse to transmute the energy into what you describe as love. We've explored the seven levels of love, and we've explored on our last call, the step-by-step process you're now describing. The potential we are proposing here is that this universal consciousness could be part of, or prerequisite to, the emergence of Homo Universalis, in the sense of a universal life here on planet Earth in the service of the whole.
