human consciousness

This conversation is exploring how we shape and change the new emerging consciousness by deciding to create for ourselves a new subjective story about our reality and the world we live in. The decision to create a new story, a new reality, can lead to changes big and small in how we engage and get involved with our lives and the world.

One example is through the rapid expansion of a sophisticated online digital environment that supports more personal, immediate, direct engagement with the world, often through more local and smaller communities. Working directly with artisans and craftspeople, or self-publishing writers and authors. The power for each person to shape a new reality means people don’t engage in the same way with classic political systems and politicians; we’re “voting” in a sense every day on social media.

The new consciousness, an updating subjective story we tell ourselves about our reality, adds up to a fundamental shift in how people perceive and define time and space and their involvement with their own life.

I think that today we really redefine these fundamental ideas of space and time, as Immanuel Kant called it. Human beings understand the world through space and time, and we see that the idea of space is changing, fundamentally changing. Also the idea of time is changing; not the days, years or minutes, but the tempo of the time, the way time moves, the way we sense time. I think when those two frameworks are so fundamentally changing, everything is changing.
