There is a common workspace challenge, especially early in a career, in the struggle of trying to be strategic when you are not in a strategic or leadership role. You’re called upon to create a strategy framework that your company might take, and senior leaders review your proposed strategy with their own frameworks firmly in mind; you feel derailed before really being heard.

An approach to this conundrum is to reflect on the power dynamics at play, and the difference between a leader’s positional authority and power, and your own self-determined power and authority over yourself. It’s where you can mentor or gauge yourself to enter that flow state of readiness to be responsive, to be emergent, and shape conversations to accomplish your learning and feedback objectives.

Join us as Aviv Shahar and Ariel Levari explore the struggles of the new workplace in an evolving world, with an eye to finding joy in the processes and challenges therein.

Be a human being in the situation. Most people in the corporate space crave authentic engagement. If you can come from something that's authentic for you, you will awaken them, you will catalyze them, and they can move from a semi-sleep state to an alert state in the middle of the day.
