Throughout history, the great questions have been asked, and great research has been undertaken, always expanding the territory of the known by shining a light into the unknown. Where is that cutting edge today? And can a community of people from all over the world, each carrying their own unique journey of discovery, come together to inquire at the edge of purposeful evolution, through dialogue and interaction? We think it is possible, and we hope that you will choose to be a part of this exploration.
By habit, or training, we tend to examine ideas in a linear way. But is that really the way we are? Is that the way our systems work? We have a lower-self aspect focused on physical needs and predilections, and we have our higher-self aspect that seeks purpose and meaning in our life. Any subject we might choose to contemplate will not only fall somewhere between these two levels, but these different parts will have different views upon the subject itself.
When we create a loom of contemplation we are able to tease out the subtleties within us and, perhaps, reach a deeper truth.
This exploration can lead us down many pathways. Follow along with Jeff Vander Clute and Aviv Shahar as they navigate these intertwining territories in this third installment of a multipart series.
This was inspired by a very brief exchange I had with my spiritual teacher, when he one day said to me: You should never, ever, think about one thing in isolation. He said, if you want to think about one thing, you need to think about nine, or 12, or 16 things.
