Throughout history, the great questions have been asked, and great research has been undertaken, always expanding the territory of the known by shining a light into the unknown. Where is that cutting edge today? And can a community of people from all over the world, each carrying their own unique journey of discovery, come together to inquire at the edge of purposeful evolution, through dialogue and interaction? We think it is possible, and we hope that you will choose to be a part of this exploration.
Aviv: So one of the ways you're describing the shift is that we now have generations where, if a primary algorithm in our own experience in the 30s and 40s was delay gratification because we’re building now for the future, their operating system is you are alive now. Live life now, don't just live for the future.
Now we are addressing that which we call the green phase, if we use here the rainbow as a transition. Where the theme is: I am in control, or really, I am wanting to be in control. I need to get serious. So right there I'd say that's a challenge. Especially a challenge now.
Increasingly, the challenge, the experience of the 30-plus through to the 40s is, do I shape my world, or am I being shaped by all the forces around me? That is part of the tension and the conflict that's expressed very much in this age.
I think that was true for us. I think it's just now much more potent, in terms of there are greater powers, greater capabilities, but also the encroaching influences are much more challenging.
What you're describing about this generation is they have redefined the idea of growth to growing on the inside. Now, we are not prepared to live just on the outside, to delay our discovery of joy later in life. Every day is a day that will never come back. I want to be fully present in that day to the degree I can and I'm going to therefore grow on the inside.
