We’re well into the New Year of 2022 and, as the pandemic loosens its grip in many parts of the world, there is a real curiosity to discover the sort of "new normal" that might be arising from the last two years of collective trauma and uncertainty. How has this time of often dramatic change transformed our feeling of humanity and fostered a sense of a new future that may also be ready to emerge?
This Portals conversation explores the perception of humanity as a collective body or organism with a unified or integrated consciousness. Inside of our collective humanity, awareness and patterns of thought and behavior have indeed been shifting; there is a gradual letting go of the ego-centered tendency to identify with ideologies and opinions that see
each individual separate and isolated from the larger whole. It’s a conscious decision to reject polarizing influences and instead explore a higher unity that brings humanity together.
As we let go collectively of who we thought we were and the story we thought we were living, we're in between the old and the emerging, which can be uncomfortable. But the melting away of our separate identity means a miracle is possible for humanity to completely shift gears into another way of operating, relating, and being.

This tendency to try to go back to what we think we remember or know is a manifestation of something in us knowing, ‘Oh, wait a minute; our certainties are disappearing. Our identities are disappearing. Our national identities are disappearing because they're collective.’ That's what I'm saying, and it's very hopeful because, as we pass the point of no return, which I get that we have collectively, we discover that it's actually okay to not hold on so tightly to who we thought we were.
